Yesterday we spoke about why prospecting is so difficult and some solutions to make it better for you...
So, on today's 15-Minute Huddle...I'm going to be discussing "using the phone."
Now for some of you... when see or hear the word 'telemarketing... you simply cringe, freak out and want to go into therapy... and you know what? I get it!
However, it doesn't have to be that way at all... as a matter of fact... if you feel that way...it's not at all your fault.
What it really boils down to are 2 things... our perceptions and our experiences that cause this freakish response.
Guys, we all use a phone, we all talk on it... [most of the time], we all negotiate on it, we set appointments on it [we don't just show up...do you?] and so it's an incredibly valuable asset for our businesses...isn't it?
The challenge is not Telemarketing… it boils down to how we use it to our full advantage, how effective we are, how we sound, and how we can help more folks solve their problems…and that’s really what we want … isn’t it?
