Them: "Oh, hi Mike... yes we did... but I never heard back from so we decided to hire someone else to help us out...I'm so sorry."

You not to them...but to yourself: "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...I'm such an idiot!! I needed that sale too!" 

That won't happen again now...will it?
